I moved to Indonesia for three years and spent most weekends on a road, usually without much of a plan.
The camera came along as a souvenir. It ended up being the reason I went anywhere at all.
I learned to photograph in a country that was not mine, which taught me the thing I still do for a living: walk into a room you do not own, and come out with how it felt.
